The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) supports the decarbonisation of heat in buildings. The government is providing grants to encourage property owners to install low carbon heating systems such as heat pumps, through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS). These grants can help property owners overcome the upfront cost of low carbon heating technologies.

The grant for a new air source heat pump installation is currently £7,500.00.

The BUS scheme launched on the 1st april 2022 to promote low carbon heating systems with low energy costs to heat the home.

There will be aproximatley 30,000 vouchers available each year. Each voucher will be valid for 3 months with no exceptions or extensions. The scheme is installer led with the installation company applying for the voucher and redeeming it once the install is complete & MCS verified.

From 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2027, there is 0% VAT on the installation of energy-saving materials including air source heat pumps which also includes air to air heat pumps which are commolnly known as Refrigirated Air Conditioning ( RAC).

The boiler upgrade scheme covers single domestic dwellings and small non-domestic properties in England and Wales. The scheme is currently available to homeowners, private landlords and self-builders. It will not be open to social housing, new build properties other than self-build or properties that already have an air source heat pump installed.

Our Engineers will design, Install & commission the ASHP system with UK Government approved inspectors to audit our system install providing the customer with added insurance and protection to ensure the system is installed to very high government standards.

What is an Air Source Heat Pump?

Our Company is a top tier cooling and heating solutions provider. We install, commision and service Air source Heat Pumps, Refrigerated Air Conditioning Systems, and Under Floor Heating Systems for Domestic and Commercial Clients UK Nationwide.

ASHP’s use Air as a source of heat. They absorb heat from the outside or surrounding space and transfer that into useable heat in the home, work or customer space for water heating, space cooling or both. ASHP’s can be reversed so that they can draw heat from inside a building, thus providing cooling during the summer as well as indoor heating for colder periods of the year.

ASHP’s are low-carbon renewable energy technology they use environmentally friendly refrigerant gases by thermodynamics to warm/cool your required space – even if the ambient temperature outside is cold or hot your home’s temperature remains moderate and stable. ASHP’s are cost-effective and a safer alternative to LPG, traditional gas, or oil-fired central heating systems.

Why do I need an Air Source Heat Pump?

Our energy effeicent Cooling & Heating Systems remain between 200% & 400% energy efficient compared to traditional Gas Boilers which are currently 95% energy efficient per kWh of energy used. Our systems utilize a renewable source which is Air this renewable Air is then converted to Heat using thermodynamics and electricity which is proven to be at lower levels than gas boilers. ASHP’s do not produce any carbon dioxide emissions compared to fossil fuel heating systems. Typical Example:

ASHP: Electrical Input = 88 kWh

ASHP: Heat Output = 347 kWh

347 / 88 =3.94 KWh

Average energy efficiency = for every 1 KWh input you gain 3.94 kWh heat out put = 394% energy efficiency. Gas Boilers at best are 95% energy efficient. The UK government has just announced the per kWh caps to be 34.0p/kWh for electricity and 10.3p/kWh for gas, inclusive of VAT, from 1 October 2022

You may have to notify the local authorities and your electrical suppliers of new additions to your existing system which our team will always do on your behalf .
